Riders from Gusty Wind Acres Students Had a Successful 2012 Show Season

Gusty Wind Acres Riding School, Inc of New Alexandria, PA is proud to acknowledge the accomplishments of their students in the 2012 show year. Charlotte Schott, trainer riding Kathleen Postero’s “El Baila El Jazz” (7 year old Andalusion Throughbred Cross Gelding bred by Lorna Nagel (Sincerry Gitano Rey)) had a stellar Dressage show season. The combination achieved High Percentage awards at the First Level at competitions and first places at shows held at Sonodor Stables, Washington, PA; Horse On Course, Saxonburg, PA; and Gusty Wind Acres Riding School, New Alexandria, PA.
Student Kathleen Postero riding her horse El Baila El Jazz earned the Western Pennsylvania Dressage Association’s  Adult Amateur Division Training Level Reserve Champion. She achieved an average of 62.9% at WPDA Sanctioned Schooling Shows held in the 2012 show season. In addition she achieved the following: Gusty Wind Acres Dressage Schooling Show Training Level First Place and High Percentage Award; Dressage at Sonador First Place Prix Caprilli and Second Place in Training Level and Equitation; Hi Acre Stable Dressage Schooling Show First Place Training Level; Horse on Course Sixth Place Training Level. Kathleen has trained exclusively with Arlene and Charlotte Schott at Gusty Wind Acres Riding School, Inc. for over 10 years, and in addition has benefitted from select dressage study with Alexandra Mayer, Susan Hoffman Peacock and Cindy Sydnor, as well as hunter jumper sessions with Toni Humes at BarGee Farms.
Student Sherri Lucas and her Arabian Gelding Sahara Bey grandson of the renowned Huckelberry Bey also earned numerous honors in the 2012 show season.  Her accomplishments included winning Champion in the Beginning Horse Division (Hunter) and High Percentage for Introductory Horse (Dressage) at Gusty Wind Acres Riding School Inc. As well as numerous first and second places in shows throughout the season.  Sherri has taken lessons at Gusty Wind Acres Riding School, Inc from Arlene and Charlotte Schott for more than 10 years.
